The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Volodymyr Lytvyn has held the Meeting on Friday with the Chairman of the Skadovsk City Council, Oleksandr Gavrysh, the Chairmasn of the Skadovsk Regional Council, Oleg Starenkiy and the Chairman of the International Merchant Port of Skadovsk, Ivan Orel at Their Request.
During the Meeting the issue on the perspectives of activity of the Skadovsk Merchant Port, that is the main budget-forming enterprise of the city, were discussed. The representatives of the city requested the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada not allow the merging of the Skadovsk Port with the Kherson Port.
According to them there are intentions to occupy the land that port is situated on, by the change of the enterprise management. It was emphasized that reorganization will lead to the sufficient decrease of working places, incomings to the city budget and in the whole will lead to the decrease of the enterprise.
V. Lytvyn gave the order to the corresponding Committees to investigate the situation.
